20 New WhatsApp Features Introduced and Spotted in 2017

WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the world, used by over 1.2 billion people worldwide and 200 million in India alone. Despite its success, the Facebook-owned company has not become complacent and always keeps the competition on its toes by releasing new features every few weeks. 2017, of course, saw the overhauled WhatsApp Status (an aping of Snapchat), but there have been many other small updates this year that didn't get as much attention.  From increased media sharing limit to video streaming, we take a look at all the new WhatsApp features released this year alone. LG’s Tone Bluetooth headsets have been quite popular over the years, and with every new iteration, we’ve seen a slight refinement. The company announced its latest version called the Tone Active+, during IFA 2016 and it is now available in India at an MRP of Rs. 12,000. The Tone Active+ boasts of external stereo speakers, fitness monitoring, and dual microphones as its highlight features. It’s time to put them to the test. LG Tone Active+ design and features The LG Tone Active+, which bears model number HBS-A100, continues to use the same neckband design with retractable earbuds, which is still convenient for travelling. The device is supposed to be available in black or silver, but our unit was blue even though the box said black. The entire neckband is built from plastic, and the fit and finish around the joints is good. The buttons and switches also feel solid. The rear portion of the LG Tone Active+ uses a heavy rubber lining so it flexes easily when put it on or take it off your …

Popular Fitness Tracker Manufacturer Jawbone Shuts Down, CEO Launches New Start-Up

The Indian government’s move to impose duty on mobiles could make it tougher for international brands competing in the country’s jam-packed smartphone market. The government announced its decision to levy 10 percent basic customs duty on imported smartphones, other unspecified electronics, and accessories last week, on the same day that Goods and Services Tax rolled out. The move is meant to foster growth of Indian companies and local ecosystem as part of the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, which has seen an increasing number of brands assemble their mobile phones and other electronics in the country. "The government seems to be in a 'walk the talk' mode, they have been fostering a local manufacturing environment in the country and have been mindful of the early investments that have been made into manufacturing in India by many corporate houses already," Rajesh Aggarwal, co-founder of Micromax said in a statement to Gadgets 360. "This also ensures tha…
